University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center Summer Research Internship program
This day program provides high school sophomores, juniors and seniors
and a limited number of college undergraduates with hands-on scientific research experience. Each is assigned to a faculty researcher mentor in whose laboratory they work. They also have a chance to present their work in poster sessions. Applications are accepted for the Summer Research Internship Program at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Participants commit a minimum of 20 hours per week for eight weeks from mid-June to mid-August. Deadline to apply is April 11.

University of Kentucky 26th Annual Summer Research Training Fellowship
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine announces the availability of a research training program for outstanding high school students with a strong interest in science. Fellowship Stipend of $1,500 will be paid for the 8 week period beginning Monday, June 13, 2011 and ending on Friday, August 5, 2011. The student will work in the laboratory under the supervision of a qualified investigator on a project of mutual interest.
Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by June 1 and have taken chemistry. In addition, the student should have completed a science course with a laboratory (preferably chemistry). All students with a strong interest in science who meet these criteria are strongly urged to apply. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
