KING: The Mixtape Project

Black men - reading.
Black men - leading.
Black men - teaching.
Back men - reaching: OUT, and into the community.

That's what's happening every Tuesday night in April. Join local black pastors Rev. Troy Thomas and Rev. Anthony Everett and UK's Chester Grundy and Dr. Adam Banks for a free, community reading and discussion group.

The group is free. The books are free. And, all are invited. Participants will read and discuss the sermons of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and they will be invited to share their interpretations of King’s life, the Black Freedom Movement, or contemporary issues.

Date and Time: Tuesdays in April from 6-8 pm
Location: St. Paul AME Church, 251 North Upper Street
Cost: Refreshments and books are free.

For more info, contact: Rev. Troy Thomas (859.255.7945) or Dr. Adam Banks (adam.banks3@uky.edu)
