Below Mt. Kenya live the Akamba people and they have a princess named Kalendi who has the most beautiful hair. Kalendi loves to show off her hair, but when a weaver bird asks for a strand of her hair, she refuses. The Bird curses her and the African tale unfolds.

The Princess Who Lost Her Hair is filled with puppetry, African proverbs and Swahili to help transport the audience into this Akamba legend.
