This production reflects the work of Harlem Renaissance Zora Neal Hurston as interpreted by George Shaw in Sweat and Harlem Slang. These works have been adapted with additional fun and frenzy by Agape Theatre Troupe's Artistic Director, Cathy Rawlings. Some of you may remember Cathy from her performance in The Issac Murphy Story during the World Equestrian Games or her Lyric directorial debut of The Duke and His Women.
Showtimes are Friday, September 16th at 8pm and Saturday, September 17th at 2pm and 8pm. The cost per ticket is $20, including box office fee.
We will also perform on Sunday, September 18th at 3pm at the Opera House with ticket prices ranging from $15 to $24. See attached flyer for details! Come hear the music, watch the dancing, admire the zoot suits, join in the laugher and experience the language that was the Harlem Renaissance.
