Martin Luther King Cultural Center -- Instructional African Dance Class with the African Student Association. This program will be a two-hour class with modern and traditional West African Dance taught by ASA members.
Tuesday, April 5, 6-7:30 p.m.
Student Center Theatre -- "Traveling Abroad" This program will allow the community to hear from four UK students and a Peace Corps representative talk about their experiences traveling abroad.
Wednesday, April 6, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Memorial Hall -- "Music with the Lexington Sankofa Drum Corps." This program will showcase the Sankofa Drum Corps, a drumming group based in Lexington, Kentucky, as they sound the African drums.
April 7,6-8 p.m.
William T. Young Auditorium: Save Darfur w/Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
This program will be a film showing of "Darfur Diaries," to educate people of the events occurring in Darfur with commentary and Q & A from faculty.
Donations will go to the Darfur Diaries Education Project.
