GET ON THE BUS
In commemoration of April being national Fair Housing month, the Lexington Fair Housing Council is partnering with the Lexington Human Rights Commission and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to offer a guided tour that highlights the history and impact of segregated housing in twentieth-century Lexington. Presenters will emphasize the historical and political climate in the Commonwealth leading up to the passage of the Fair Housing Act.
The tour will begin at 1pm at the Lyric Theatre and will end at 4pm at the Lyric Theatre, as well. The tour is open and free to everyone. However, participates must register. Registration can be done either over the internet at- lexingtonfairhousing.com or by calling our office at- 859-971-8067 (Ask for Art or Kyle).
