LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 19, 2012) – Tickets are on sale now for a night of laughs with "Saturday Night Live" funny man Seth Meyers Monday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. in the Singletary Center. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.
Students, faculty and staff can purchase tickets with a valid ID at the Singletary Center Ticket Office weekdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for general public, faculty and staff. Contact the Singletary Center Ticket Office at (859) 257-4929 or click here.
Comedian and actor Seth Meyers’ most iconic job can be seen on the news parody segment "Weekend Update" on "Saturday Night Live." Before SNL, Meyers got his improv comedy start as a member of the Northwestern University improv sketch group Mee-Ow. He continued his comedy career at ImprovOlympic and also as an overseas cast member of Boom Chicago, an improv troupe based in Amsterdam. Meyers currently serves as head writer for SNL and has also made appearances in blockbuster movies such as "Journey to the Center of the Earth," "Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist," "I Don’t Know How She Does It" and the 2011 holiday hit "New Year’s Eve." Last spring, Meyers was the keynote speaker at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
