Flu season will be here soon, and the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department has begun offering vaccines.
The seasonal flu shot also protects against the H1N1 strain and is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and up.
Shots cost $25 and are available on a walk-in basis at the Public Health Clinic North, 805A Newtown Circle. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays.
The health department accepts Medicaid, Medicare Part B, cash, checks, credit cards and some private insurance plans.
